Electric Motor Repair Mechanic

Electric Motor Mechanic
Repair Department

Ability to dismantle, check and test all sizes of electric motors; repair gearheads, vari-drives and associated electrical equipment; and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems. Will be responsible for assisting parts cleaner and keeping work areas clean.


1. Mechanical aptitude; previous experience and/or training desirable
2. Hand tools as necessary to perform job
3. Ability to work well with others
4. Good communication skills
5. Attention to details; ability to complete associated paperwork
6. Valid driver’s license/good driving record/D.O.T. certification
(or ability to obtain)
7. Ability to operate vehicle with standard or automatic transmission
8. Ability to operate lift truck in a safe manner
9. Neat, legible handwriting
10. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without mechanical help
11. Regular and punctual attendance


1st shift

7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. – 5 days per week – Monday through Friday

2nd shift*

3:30 p.m. – 12:00 Midnight – 5 days per week – Monday through Friday

Must be available for overtime as requested by the Repair Department
Manager, Superintendent or Shift Foreman.
